The undergraduate speech-language pathology and audiology program is designed to provide students with the academic experiences needed to understand normal processes involved in speech, language, and hearing abilities, and to identify characteristics of communication disorders. Classes also introduce students to clinical procedures for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.
This degree provides students with the prerequisites necessary to apply for graduate programs in speech-language pathology and audiology. A graduate degree is required to become a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist or audiologist.

Teach academic, social, and life skills to elementary school students with learning, emotional, or physical disabilities. Includes teachers who specialize and work with students who are blind or have visual impairments; students who are deaf or have hearing impairments; and students with intellectual disabilities.
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
Assist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists. Monitor the use of alternative communication devices and systems.

Students must have completed one year of course work with an overall grade point average of at least 2.50.
